Ultradian Rhythms

In the morning, your cortisol levels spike, as part of the circadian rhythm. However, throughout the day, you experience short bursts of high focus, alertness, and energy.
As your cortisol levels drop, you may find yourself in more of a slump, especially around the 2pm mark. This is not laziness; this is science. This is your body's request for a reset before the next ultradian rhythm begins.

Symptoms of Needing a Reset
There are several symptoms that a reset is needed, fatigue/low energy, brain fog, hunger or thirst, needing to use the bathroom, fidgeting, annoyance. Practicing mindfulness can help cue you into the changes within yourself.
Reset Ideas should last about 20 minutes.
Walk away from computer
Balancing lunch
Take a walk
Check caffeine intake
Rest your eyes
Read a book, with actual pages
When ultradian are respected and given the space they need, you will see improvements with body and mind regulation, physical health, mental health, emotional health, and spiritual health, which are the four pillars of health.
